Native to northern Mexico's high desert, growing to about a 2-feet tall by 3-feet wide once fully mature. You'll want to plant in full sun to bright filtered light and in well-draining soil. Tolerates dry conditions but will grow much faster with regular summer irrigation. It is a moderate to fast grower, and has performed incredibly well in our cold high desert climate in central Oregon! It is hardy to at least USDA zone 6, and parent plants have seen temperatures to -0F.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe key to growing in zones 6 and 7 are to keep the plant dry in winter, we do this by simply covering them with an upside down plant container.
