Beavertail Cactus 'Virgin River Rainbow' (Opuntia aurea) is an EXCLUSIVE hybrid prickly pear cactus from the high desert region of Southern Utah, and our nursery has been growing them in central Oregon's high desert for nearly a decade. It is a unique hybrid that produces very vibrant blue green pads and stunning large hot pink and pale pink flowers! These are fast growing and will produce a large clump 3-4 feet wide by 1-2 feet tall. This hybrid variety has been growing completely unprotected in the cold high desert region of central Oregon, zone 6b, repeatedly seeing temps below -10 F and we have heard reports of them surviving -25 degrees (F) in the midwest!
