Agave parviflora 'Santa Cruz'

Small Flower Century Plant

COLD HARDY ZONE 7

Hard to find, these agaves are healthy, and fully rooted!

Native to Arizona and New Mexico, Agave parviflora is a strikingly beautiful dwarf agave that features skinny, dark green leaves with dramatic white stripes on the upper surface. Agave parviflora will eventually flower and bloom a 4'-5' tall stalk, which usually takes 5-10 years. Agave parviflora doesn't offset much, but it produces small plantlets on the top of the flower stalk after flowering is finished. The key to growing in zones 7 and below are to keep the plant dry in winter, we do this by simply covering them with an upside down plant container. These plants would make excellent additions to your hardy exotic plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
